The origin of the Somerville Companies in South East Asia date back more than fifty years from modest beginnings in Hong Kong in 1958.

Presently, separate Somerville Companies operate in seven countries as full service regional centers effectively covering the whole of South East Asia, China and Australia.

A strong commitment to quality has, from the beginning, been the underlying philosophy behind our operations. Our aim has always been to provide our customers with the best in Design, in Equipment, in Service and in Support.

To meet this aim, we have set up two manufacturing operations in Prachinburi under the auspices of the Board of Investment in Thailand. Handling the “Cold Side” is Welbilt Manufacturing (Thailand) Ltd., making a large range of commercial refrigerators and cold rooms, display cases including wine displays…etc. Handling the “Hot Side” is Somerville (Siam) Ltd. Manufacturing operation, making bake ovens, counter cooking equipment, cooking ranges, heated cabinets…etc.

To serve our customers better, we have highly trained service and installation teams backed by stock of components and parts.

It is most gratifying that we have been able to keep pace with the challenges of an ever expanding tourism and business market. We have done this by providing the latest technology and by constantly updating equipment and expertise in order to provide the best available product to our customers.

By now, Somerville has a long and proven track record in the design and supply of commercial kitchens. This experience and expertise remains with us and is available to all our customers, both large and small.
